The First Floor has three main rooms - a large and comfortable living room, a spacious dining room and a cosy sitting room with an inviting wood stove.
 
This is the dining room where grand breakfasts are served - as long and lazy as you would like them to be. And having afternoon tea sitting in the bright window alcove is most satisfying.

The living room has graceful, period furnishings and also a very comfortable couch - a great space for evening conversation, watching a movie on the DVD player, or reading (browse through the bookshelves - pretty much in every room - that reflect a lifetime of eclectic interests).
